The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with clients, ensuring a seamless customer experience while maximising client retention and growth. The role requires a strong understanding of the credit process to effectively collaborate with internal teams and provide strategic support to clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships to enhance satisfaction and retention.
• Conduct regular check-ins with clients to understand their evolving financing needs.
• Address client concerns, escalations, and service requests promptly and effectively.
Onboarding & Account Setup
• Facilitate the smooth onboarding of new clients, ensuring they understand the process, terms, and system functionalities.
• Collaborate with Sales to ensure a seamless transition from sales to account management.
• Ensure all client documentation and agreements are correctly processed and maintained.
Collaboration & Internal Coordination
• Work closely with the Product Specialists and Credit Team to ensure risk assessments align with client expectations and business objectives.
• Provide client insights and feedback to the Sales Team to enhance service offerings and identify growth opportunities.
Portfolio Management & Growth
• Monitor client account performance, including funding utilisation and payment trends.
• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services.
• Proactively identify potential risks or changes in client behaviour and escalate concerns to the appropriate teams.
Reporting & Compliance
• Maintain accurate client records, reports, and performance tracking metrics.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of management reports regarding client activity, risk exposure, and growth opportunities.

Core Competencies:
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of General Banking Solutions particularly factoring and working capital solutions.
• Ability to analyse financial data and client risk profiles.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate complex client situations.
•Team player with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in client relationship management, preferably within the factoring, banking, or financial services industry.
• Experience working with SMEs and corporate clients in a B2B setting especially within Europe is a plus.
