The IT Manager, reporting to the the Head of IT, will oversee IT operations and infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of systems across the organization. This role will provide strategic direction, lead IT initiatives, and manage the team responsible for technical support and cloud-based solutions. The Manager will also play a key role in aligning IT services with organisational goals and driving continuous improvement in IT processes.

‍‍Position: IT Manager

‍Primary Responsibilities:
‍

• Lead and manage the IT team, ensuring the delivery of effective technical support and system maintenance.

• Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including account provisioning, access management, and adherence to security protocols.

• Manage and optimize cloud-based applications and infrastructure to support organizational goals, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.

• Develop and implement strategies to enhance IT operations, focusing on innovation, cost efficiency, and user satisfaction, in collaboration with the Head of IT.

• Monitor IT systems to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.

• Ensure compliance with data protection and cybersecurity best practices, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

• Evaluate and implement new technologies and tools to enhance efficiency and productivity.

• Prepare and deliver IT performance reports and updates to senior management.

• Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, processes, and policies.

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.

• Strategic thinking with the ability to align IT services with business goals.

• Advanced problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• In-depth knowledge of cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud), network fundamentals, and virtualization technologies.

• Proficiency in scripting and automation for IT operations and cloud resource management.

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and regulatory compliance requirements.

‍Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in IT roles, including at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.

• Proven experience managing cloud-based infrastructure and applications, with relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator) considered an asset.

• Experience in financial services or credit institutions is highly desirable.

• Experience with Atlassian products would be consider an asset
