1. Can you tell us about your journey with Lidion Bank and what initially attracted you to work here?
I have been working with Lidion Bank since August 2023. From the start it was clear that the employees at Lidion Bank are valued and heard and not just treated as a number. This is something that I was looking for when wanting to change jobs. I also noticed that Lidion Bank was very much open to change and wanted to expand and digitize its offering, and I wanted to be part of the growth from within the Bank.
2. What is your role at Lidion Bank, and what are your primary responsibilities?
I work as a Senior Corporate Officer at the Bank and my main focus is the onboarding of new customers. I correspond with potential customers and assist them in obtaining banking services with the Bank, as well as maintaining an ongoing business relationship with already existing customers.
3. What does a typical day or week look like for you in your role?
Mostly its trying to understand the specific needs of each customer as they all come with their unique nuances. A typical day for me would include corresponding with our customers, prospective and current, attending any meetings with diverse stakeholders within the Bank, and working on the new applications we receive on a daily basis.
4. What do you enjoy most about working at Lidion Bank?
What I like most about the Bank, is that everyday is a different challenge! Whether it’s a improvement to a process, a piece of new technology or a customer that needs our help, we’re never short of things happening around here. The Bank is also growing at a very rapid pace, which adds to the constant challenges we have to overcome as an expanding business. I find it personally rewarding to be able to adapt to all the new changes and the new challenges each day brings.
5. How would you describe the company culture at Lidion Bank?
I think the Bank’s culture revolves around feeling part of something bigger. With growth comes a lot of hard work, but there is always a sense that each individual is valued for what they bring to the table.
6. What are you passionate about outside of work?
Outside of work I dedicate a lot of time towards animals mostly – I have plenty of pets at my house, and I also foster and rescue animals often. I also enjoy training as well as hiking in the countryside.
7. How is Lidion Bank supporting your passions?
I form part of a local sanctuary called Sunshine Animal Sanctuary Malta, whereby we rescue farm animals. Lidion Bank has generously offered to give a monthly donation to the sanctuary, which will help us cover a lot of expenses that we have such as food, vet bills, neutering etc. Thanks to this donation, we will be able to rescue more animals, as unfortunately, the number of abandoned animals is constantly on the rise.
8.What advice would you give to someone considering a career in Financial Services?
I would highly recommend a career in the Financial services. It is a hectic and busy work sector, however with plenty of personal satisfactions. Both personal and professional growths are guaranteed when working in this type of industry.
9. Share one thing that few people know about you
I love listening to heavy metal music to relax and focus more both during work and after work activities.
Lidion Bank is honoured to support Chiara's initiatives with an ongoing supportive donation to the Sunshine Animal Sanctuary Malta .
