We're looking for a dedicated and service-oriented Application Support Specialist. The specialist will be crucial to maintaining the smooth operation of our diverse range of business applications and systems. This role aims to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our critical applications, enhance user experience, and support our technology infrastructure by providing exceptional technical support, troubleshooting issues, and facilitating effective communication between the IT department and other business units.

Position:  Application Support Specialist

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide first and second-level support for a variety of banking applications including Oracle Internet Banking, Oracle Flexcube, Atlassian Jira, Atlassian Confluence, and many others.

• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues reported by users through various channels including ticketing systems and direct communication.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.

• Monitor application performance and proactively identify potential issues before they impact operations.

• Document support processes, procedures, and resolutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.

• Assist in the implementation and rollout of new applications and system updates.

• Conduct training sessions for end-users to improve application knowledge and adoption.

Core Competencies:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

• Familiarity with ITIL best practices and ticketing systems.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with users at all levels.

• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Proven experience in application support roles, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.

• Knowledge of banking applications such as Oracle Flexcube, Oracle Internet Banking, and SWIFT services is a plus.
